Prior to Gaja, Imran worked in a variety of roles of increasing responsibility at Dr. Reddy's and Wipro Technologies. Started in 2004, Gaja is an independent, Mumbai based private equity firm that provides growth capital to medium-sized companies from high growth, emerging sectors in India such as Education. Gaja's portfolio includes some of India's leading companies in Education, Consumer and Financial services.

At Gaja, Imran has made investments in the Education and Consumer sectors and has an active interest in Healthcare. He is closely involved with Gaja's investments in Eurokids (Pre-K and K-12), John Distilleries (AlcoBev), CL Educate (Supplemental Education), Indus World Schools (K12), Educomp (Education-diversified) and Millennium Schools (K12). Imran holds post graduate degree in software engineering from BITS-Pilani and an MBA from IIM-Bangalore.
