Syed Andaleeb Vice Chancellor, BRAC University
Professor Syed SaadAndaleeb is the Vice Chancellor of BRAC University. He is Distinguished Professor Emeritus, Pennsylvania State University, USA. He completed his Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a BS in Chemical Engineering and MBA from the University of New Hampshire. He has published widely in peer-reviewed and practitioner journals and has presented invited papers at Oxford University, the Harvard School of Public Health, and Cornell University’s South Asia Program. He continues to pursue research, focusing presently on quality in higher education.
He was a Senior Fulbright Scholar, twice selected as a Fulbright Senior Specialist, and served as a peer reviewer for the Fulbright Senior Specialist Program. He has consulted for The World Bank, UNFPA, ILO, FAO, IFAD and various corporate bodies in the United States and Bangladesh.He served as a member, Board of Trustees, of Bangladesh Research and Education Network, University Grants Commission, Bangladesh and also with the American Institute of Bangladesh Studies. He continues to serve as Editor, Journal of Bangladesh Studies.
