Prof.P.Srinivasan is presently holding the post of Head of The Department of Mechanical Engineering, BITS-Pilani, Pilani campus and Associate Dean of Practice School Division. He has almost three decades of teaching experience in prestigious Universities in India. He has more than 50 publications to his credit in the International and National journals and conferences of repute. He is the recipient of prestigious " SSR Memorial Teaching Excellence award" given to only one faculty across all the three Indian campuses of BITS at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. He has traveled to UK, Europe and Gulf countries to take part in the International Conferences and Chaired technical sessions. He also offers consultancy services to industries and completed projects to improve the productivity of the industries. It has been successfully implemented.

He conducted executive training programs for the working professionals at SAIL,NTPC, VSP, ABG group etc.,. He has conducted more than 15 such programs and about 750 participants from the industries were benefitted. He has visited more than 100 industrial organisations in India and abroad to strengthen the Industry-Academia tie up in order improve the quality of higher education program.

He has a good blend of teaching, research and administration required for the higher education sector.
